^ I assume you have New Moon and Eclipse, yes? If not, then you have to get all four books as soon as possible, Bf. xD

so how far into breaking dawn are you now, bf? LOL

anyway, a few days ago i went to check up on the stephenie meyer site and found some very sad news....
(quoted by stephenie from her website)
As some of you may have heard, my partial draft of Midnight Sun
was illegally posted on the Internet and has since been virally
distributed without my knowledge or permission or the knowledge or
    permission of my publisher.

I have a good idea of how the leak happened as there were very few copies of Midnight Sun
that left my possession and each was unique. Due to little changes I
made to the manuscript at different times, I can tell when each left my
possession and to whom it was given. The manuscript that was illegally
distributed on the Internet was given to trusted individuals for a good
purpose. I have no comment beyond that as I believe that there was no
malicious intent with the initial distribution....

,,,So where does this leave Midnight Sun? My first feeling was
that there was no way to continue. Writing isn't like math; in math,
two plus two always equals four no matter what your mood is like. With
writing, the way you feel changes everything. If I tried to write Midnight Sun
now, in my current frame of mind, James would probably win and all the
Cullens would die, which wouldn't dovetail too well with the original
story. In any case, I feel too sad about what has happened to continue
working on Midnight Sun, and so it is on hold indefinitely.

I'd rather my fans not read this version of Midnight Sun. It
was only an incomplete draft; the writing is messy and flawed and full
of mistakes. But how do I comment on this violation without driving
more people to look for the illegal posting? It has taken me a while to
decide how and if I could respond. But to end the confusion, I've
decided to make the draft available here (at the end of this message on the Midnight Sun
page). This way, my readers don't have to feel they have to make a
sacrifice to stay honest. I hope this fragment gives you further
insight into Edward's head and adds a new dimension to the Twilight
story. That's what inspired me to write it in the first place.

to read the draft and the full statement click here.
I really am saddened that this has happened and has taken the fun out of writing the twilight story. I was especially anxious for Midnight Sun's release. I was so sure it would be out next year....I wonder when she'll be able to write it again.

For those of you who do not know, Midnight Sun was to be the story of Twilight, told through Edward's perspective. Ever since reading the first chapter she had available on her site a year or two ago i had been ecstatic that she was going to write this. I am so disappointed now. But i respect her decision as an author and i understand how she must feel.

^ indeed. I think that Midnight Sun would give Twilight more... spice. Razz It's definitely interesting to read the book through Edward's perspective. Whatever Bella notices in Twilight, well... Midnight Sun gives us everything that is happening in Edward's head.

I respect Stephenie's wishes, and I can't wait to read it, no matter how long she'll take on publishing it.

After all the rave reviews of Blackmamba and Tsu, I'll be adding the book series to my Christmas list. I don't want to read Twilight until after I've seen the movie, tho. Just in case the movie is a let down in comparison to the book, I won't be walking away from the movie feeling disappointed, unless the acting is horrible, of course.

That's awesome, Kyouri! That's actually a pretty good idea. I tend to read the books even though most of the time I get disappointed by its movie counterpart, because I don't like it when some of the things in the movie are too vague.

Before Breaking Dawn was out, I read Stephenie Meyer's The Host first. From there, I thought that Breaking Dawn would most probably end up as a happy ending. Which is nice, from time to time. I just dislike how the book ended so... fast. I don't mind happy endings, it's just that it's too short, in my opinion. I don't mind reading a very thick book, if it's really interesting. Take for example Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows... the book ended well. I didn't feel like it was too short or anything. I read Stephenie's explanation to some of the questions in her website, and I quite understand her point, but still. I hope it didn't end that fast.
